Comcor Environmental Limited is seeking a licensed Electrician, to work a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (12 hours 7 to 7, 4 days on and 4 days off, alternating nights and days) for the full-time position of Facility Maintenance Technician/Electrician. They will assist with operation and maintenance of a brand new renewable natural gas production facility (currently under construction), multiple landfill gas fired stationary IC gensets and a gas compression building. The first 6 months of training will be full day shifts from 7 a.m to 3:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, after which the 4 on 4 off shifts will start.
The position is based in Niagara Falls, Ontario. We are seeking someone that has experience with gas fired engines, gas compressors, process control and SCADA systems and/or possess strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and skills. The candidate must be a self-starter and able to work independently. Direct or related experience is required. Applicant must be proficient in Microsoft Office. We offer an excellent compensation and benefit package.
Some of the main job tasks will include but not be limited to:
• Monitor plant systems including visual inspection of plant equipment.
• Maintain daily plant logs and records.
• Perform various routine and non-routine Preventative Maintenance tasks and repairs on plant equipment as issues arise.
• Equipment troubleshooting and restarting after unscheduled shutdowns/trips.
• Inspecting and examining machinery and equipment to detect potential failures and eliminate unplanned downtime.
• Adjusting machinery and repairing or replacing defective parts.
• Closing work orders and documenting work completed using the plant CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
• Participate in more complex equipment overhauls.
• Electrical inspections as needed to complete preventative maintenance tasks
• Minor electrical upgrades
Job Type: Full-time Salary: $35.00-$45.00 per hour
