Concrete Finisher
*Fath industries,* a proud member of *The FATH Group of companies*, is looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Concrete Finisher to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton.
*Responsibilities: *
* Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials
* Direct placement of concrete into forms or surfaces
* Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement
* Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
* Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
* Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
* Perform all tasks with safety consciousness
* Other duties as assigned
*Qualifications: *
* Minimum 1 year of *concrete finishing or Form Setting *experience required
* Prior experience in the construction industry
* Prior experience in operating power vibrators to compact concrete is an asset
* Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
* Must possess a valid class 5 driver’s license
* Must have a reliable vehicle to commute to different sites across Edmonton
* High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
* Ability to work in varying weather conditions
* Ability to work in a team setting and independently with little supervision
* Flexibility and adaptability is an asset
* Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends.
*Additional Information*:
* This is a seasonal position and starts in spring of every year
* This position is eligible for over-time
* Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
* Training will be provided for various activities
* We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months in which you may continue your benefits during the winter months (off season).
* Potential on call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
