We are currently seeking an Human Resources Advisor to join our team. This is a full time, 3 month fixed term position with the possibility for extension. This position is based between our Bedford, Nova Scotia office, and our mine site in Mooseland, NS. This position works a Monday to Friday schedule, 40 hours a week. Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, your role will be to support all functions of Human Resources including Recruitment, Onboarding, Work Performance, Career Development, Reward and Recognition, Exit the Company, Training and Development, Discipline, Leave and Workers Compensation.

The Opportunity

Ensuring own Health & Safety as well as that of all other workers, identifying and maintaining safe work practices and completing all required safety training.
Applying all applicable regulations, codes and corporate/site standards.
Support all functions of Human Resources including Recruitment, Onboarding, Work Performance, Career Development, Reward and Recognition, Exit the Company, Training and Development, Discipline, Leave and Workers Compensation.
Supporting fair and consistent application of Human Resources policies, procedures and processes.
Providing efficient and effective Human Resources Administration Support to Atlantic Operations including: maintaining employee file records, generating weekly and monthly report data, acting as Human Resources point of contact for company.
Maintaining confidentiality of internal company data and records.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Valid Drivers License.
Ability to pass Background Check.
Post Secondary education in an accredited Human Resources program (or related discipline), relevant experience in lieu of education may be considered.
1-5 years experience in a Human Resources role.
Experience with HRIS systems (SAGE People preferred).
Experience with Recruitment Tracking Systems (Livehire preferred).
Strong computer literacy skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
