Why do you love your job?
I love my job because it allows me to connect with students and get to know them better on a personal level. It makes it so much more exciting when we come to the final stages of the Recruiting process and send out that offer of employment. I find it really rewarding to help start students on their future career paths!
What made you choose KPMG?
One of the many reasons that I chose KPMG was for the mentorship and performance development programs offered at the Firm. I started out as an HR Intern with an incredible mentor that helped me obtain my current role at KPMG and has continued to help me develop and encouraged me to pursue more challenging roles. I have a whole team that is incredibly supportive on a daily basis and they are also fun to work with!

Erik Reed

Why do you love your job?
Campus recruiting is not about filling a role, and quickly moving on to the next one. I really enjoy the challenge of recruiting the next partner or CEO for the firm, and developing long term relationships with students and campuses. I tell all of my recruits to try and remember me when they’re at the top some day!
What do you do in your free time?
Like John Lennon said, life is what happens when you’re busy making other plans. I try to use my free time to stay in touch with old acquaintances, meet with new ones, and stay on top of whatever comes my way! If I can, I definitely try to fit in some time for sampling craft beers, home improvement projects, and catching up on world affairs.

What is your favourite thing about your city?
I’m based out of Kitchener/Waterloo, and love the development and growth that is happening. It’s not too big or small, and always seem to have something fun going on.
