Position Description

Full-cycle on-campus recruitment activities including:

  • Support campus team with the organization of campus events including information sessions based on campus recruiting cycle (including booking venues, ordering food, preparing PowerPoint presentations, assigning presenters and coordinating details)
  • Assist in job postings, distributing to applicable programs and schools, gathering resume books to determine top talent, gathering and distributing resumes to hiring managers for short-listing
  • Liaising with schools to schedule first-round interviews; coordination of second-round interviews at CPPIB offices
  • Coordination of background referencing with third-party providers; updating recruitment database; preparation of offer letters; closing out all recruitment files
  • On-going involvement with in-house student programs including information sessions, networking sessions, professional development sessions and exit interviews, as required
  • On-going contribution to the development and execution of all on-campus recruiting strategies
  • Involvement in the development and maintenance of campus metrics
  • Support other ad hoc reporting, analysis and procedure documentation as required
  • Support the on-going management of CPPIB's comprehensive campus recruiting calendar
  • Contribute to executing campus recruiting strategies for North American and International selected educational institutions
  • Working with campus career management centres, professors, clubs, and organizations
  • Continuous research with Career Management Centres and students
  • Consistently seek innovative and exciting methods to improve campus initiatives
  • Irregular hours during peak recruiting times

Position Requirements

  • University or college graduate with a specialization in Human Resources; commitment to continued learning/certification
  • 2-3 years on a fast-paced, progressive, professional human resources team; exposure to high volume on-campus recruitment within a University recruiting office or in a corporate setting is an asset
  • Well organized individual who can manage multiple priorities and tight deadlines; flexible and adaptable
  • Exceptional communication skills (oral and written); strong relationship builder; strong customer service focus; "can-do" attitude
  • Problem solver who is not satisfied with the status quo but strives to look for new and creative solutions
  • High degree of personal organization is required; proven attention to accuracy and detail
  • Proven ability to work independently as well as to perform effectively in a team oriented environment
  • Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Demonstrates high regard for our Guiding Principles of integrity, partnership and high performance
