About the Team:


Exciting times ahead! We are living a new era of the evolution of our network. With clear focus on an autonomous network, Bell wants to lead the ecosystem in term of customer experience, operational efficiency and innovation. The Wireline Network Orchestration and Data Insight team is key to the success of this journey, bridging business, technology innovation, telecom network and AI/ML.


Our team is looking for an experienced and energetic Senior Full Stack Developer to build the future of Network Service Assurance Automation at Bell.


Key responsibilities:

  • You will be building and supporting service assurance automations for Canada’s best Network – using network and service events, automating business logic and auto healing the network.
  • Align and support developers on development best practices within our teams
  • Implement and operate DevOps tooling required by the teams (Gitlab, Artifact manager, API Gateway, CI/CD pipelines, built-in opertions etc.) – we eat what we make.
  • Technology exploration with focus on DevOps ecosystem and tooling
  • Scan the industry to ensure technical sharpness and provide recommendations around technology evolution
  • Support the software dev team in their adoption of cloud solutions


Minimum qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, with ideally a good sense of humour and fun
  • BA/BS degree in Computer Science or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10+ years of experience working in software development
  • Very familiar with Python
  • Very familiar with automation/orchestration tools or platforms such as Ansible, ONAP, etc.
  • Experience with cloud technologies (Kubernetes, GCP, AWS, Azure, etc.) and DevOps practices (TDD, CI/CD, Monitoring).


Preferred qualifications:

  • Production experience with any Kubernetes, Openshift, AWS, GCP, Azure, Docker.
  • Experience with operations pratices and tools (Prometheus, ELK, Grafana, Slack, Pager Duty, etc.)
  • Familiar with network ecosystems from Cisco, Juniper, Nokia, Ciena, Fujitsu, etc.
  • Bilingual French and English an asset, ; adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
