Name and description of the hiring department:
The Talent Acquisition Department, looking for staff to support student recruitment for this summer.
The sucessful candidates will be responsible for the recruitment and selection process for candidates applying for student positions. They will accomplish most of the steps in the recruitment process including the selection of non-management employees. They coordinate the process from start to finish and are responsible for ensuring its integrity and compliance with established policies and practices.
They will report to the Manager, Talent Acquisition.
Job Duties / Accountabilities:
- Recruit and select candidates, conduct phone/face to face pre-screen and behavioural based interviews using targeted selection techniques
- Receive, analyze, negotiate and post all job postings from the various certification units or of the internship program, in compliance with policies, processes and collective agreements
- Prioritize urgent requests and plan the daily workload in order to meet tight deadlines
- Provide coaching to managers and employees, as well as explanations of the guidelines governing the job posting, redeployment and candidate selection processes
- Determine employee eligibility based on the transfer criteria specified in the collective agreements including the Analysis and management of procedures related to the workforce adjustment process
- Prepare the documents related to the different teams’ requests including the update, creation & management of various databases and websites
- Manage candidates attraction strategies, including searching for passive candidates and cold calling potential talents
Essential Qualifications / Competencies:
- At least one-year experience in customer service
- English, fluent in the language with no significant limitation
- French, fluent in the language with no significant limitation
- Demonstrated influence and negotiation skills
- MS Word basic level
- MS Excel basic level
- MS Outlook basic level
- Proficient keyboarding skills in both official languages
- Excellent planning and organizational skills, and sense of priorities
- Ability to reason and make decisions independently
- Excellent communication skills; ability to establish rapport with people in abstract circumstances (over the telephone)
- Strong ability to adapt; ability to work under pressure and handle several files simultaneously
- Excellent listening skills
- Ability to read quickly, analyze, deduce and summarize
- Conscientiousness; meticulousness, attention to detail; team spirit
- Problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask in a dynamic, fast-paced, and efficient environment
- Strong focus on customer service and quality
Preferred Qualifications / Competencies:
- Working knowledge of recruitment tools
- Certificate or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management
- Agency recruitment experience an asset
Working Conditions:
- Monday through Friday, between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., according to business needs
- Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to business needs
Bilingualism is required (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
