Workplace

Upholding the highest standards – the best place to work!

Recognizing that our ongoing success depends on our team, Bell makes every effort to provide a work environment that ensures the health and safety of our team members as well as enabling them to contribute to their potential to Bell’s growth. We manage our business in accordance with a rigorous code of conduct. We apply leading governance practices and principles across our supply chain. We support the well-being and success of thousands of employees by enabling a dynamic and satisfying workplace.

Community

Building strong communities nationwide

We mobilize ourselves and others to make a difference in Canadian communities. Bell makes a significant investment in the communities where our team members work and live. Bell contributed $16 million in community investment in 2011. That included the Bell Let’s Talk mental health initiative. With our $50 million five-year commitment, it is the largest program ever undertaken by a Canadian corporation in support of mental health, one of Canada’s most pressing health concerns.

Environment

Minimizing our environmental impact in everything we do

We are committed to creating a more sustainable future. Bell plays a leadership role in the communications industry by taking environmental protection into account in all aspects of its operations, including the deployment and maintenance of its networks and the efficient use of energy and resources in operations. Using energy efficiently both helps the environment and supports our strategic imperative to achieve a competitive cost structure. 1,065,304 mobile phones diverted from landfill since 2003. In 2011, we took great care to reduce our environmental footprint, offer innovative energy-saving solutions to fight climate change and demonstrate stewardship in the products and services we provide.
