The Application Developer position is in Fredericton. The Role and Responsibilities will include the following:
 
  • Complete tasks as assigned by project leads including but not limited to; trouble call and problem investigations, impact analysis and design, coding, peer review, testing.
  • Ensure coding meets with the project standards.
  • Attend and participate in all required meetings.Identification and escalation of issues and risks.
  • Status reports completed and submitted on time with ETC variances to plans and schedules accurately identified.
  • Deliver tasks in accordance to the processes and procedures defined for the project Skills: mCobol, Java, JavaScript, Spring EJB, Hibernate, Liquidbase, Web Services, JSP, Ajax, XML/XSL, SOAP, WSDL, Oracle RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, Maven, Spring, Eclipse, TFS, Linux (scripting) Problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming languages and principles
  • Knowledge of relational database technologies and platforms

Soft Skills:

  • Self starter / self motivated
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Strong interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science or a degree in computer sciences with 2 years of actual work experience using and developing the following skills: Java, JavaScript, JSP, XML/XSL, Web Services

Preferred Skills:

  • Cobol,
  • Linux / Linux scripting,
  • Spring EJB, Hibernate, Liquidbase, Ajax, SOAP, WSDL, SQL, PL/SQL, Maven, Spring, Eclipse, TFS
  • Problem solving / trouble shooting
  • Code analysis and solution design
  • Knowledge of object oriented programming languages and principles
  • Knowledge of relational database technologies and platforms
  • Self starter / self motivated
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients and team member
  • Able to multitask effectively
  • Strong written, oral and comprehension communication skills
  • Possess the drive for continuous learning and to advance one’s own knowledge level, as it pertains to one’s own career
