    Accredited by CPA Ontario (Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario), the Schulich Master of Accounting (MAcc) is an academically rigorous and highly intensive full-time program designed to prepare students for a career in professional accountancy.

    Study with one of Canada’s best accounting faculties to master accounting functions and hone the ability to make effective decisions within legal, financial, regulatory and ethical frameworks. The Schulich MAcc is structured to prepare its graduates for the complex field of accounting while fast-tracking them through CPA Ontario’s Professional Education Program.

    Successful graduates of the program will be prepared to sit for the CPA Common Final Examination (CFE). In addition to gaining in-depth knowledge of all sub-disciplines that constitute the broad field of accounting, they will have deepened their expertise in two of the program’s areas of specialized electives: tax, assurance and performance management.

As Schulich’s in-house team of certified Career Coaches and Industry Advisors, the CCD offers  a wealth of innovative programs, resources and individualized coaching to help you launch your career.     Recruiters value the technical and accounting skills MAcc graduate possess, paired with their knowledge of legal, regulatory and governance frameworks. Master of Accounting (MAcc) Program Fees

The MAcc is a full-time program consisting of three academic terms. A term is equivalent to one semester, or 12 weeks.

Fees below are based on the Fall 2023-2024 fee framework, and are subject to change.

The length of time required to complete the MAcc depends on students’ academic backgrounds.

Graduates of the Schulich BBA or iBBA program and graduates of the 30 credit Diploma in Intermediate Accounting (DIAc) program are  eligible for direct entry into Term 2 of the Master of Accounting, and can complete the degree in 8 months.

Students may also elect to graduate after completion of Term 2 of the MAcc program and receive a Diploma in Advanced Accounting (DAAc). Click below to learn more about these diploma programs.

The Master of Accounting (MAcc) is a full-time only program. To accommodate working professionals, Term 3 is offered in a bi-weekly weekend format to prepare you with the final tools you need to successfully complete the CFE.

Students entering the MAcc with a non-CPA stream Business/Commerce undergraduate degree may continue with the MAcc after completing the first term of the Diploma in Intermediate Accounting (DIAc)*. Click here to view the DIAc curriculum.

Schulich BBA/iBBA Graduates who do not complete the CPA stream may also pursue the MAcc beginning in the Fall (Term 1). View course details below.

Business/Commerce Graduates, CPA Accredited stream (including Schulich BBA/iBBA Graduates who have completed the CPA stream) are eligible to start in Term 2 (Summer). View course details below.
