What we are looking for
  • A university degree completed before the program start date, and you completed your degree no earlier than three years before your application date.
  • Your degree is in engineering, computer science, business technology management, math/statistics, business, economics, business analytics, or social sciences.
  • You have a college diploma or post-grad certificate in a STEM-related field completed before the program start date, and you completed your diploma/certificate no earlier than three years before your application date.
  • You understand the basic principles of working with large and complex datasets.
  • You have introductory experience or have the desire to learn data tools and software such as SQL, SAS, MicroStrategy, and Unica.

Program structure
  • 14 month rotational program (2 rotations)
  • Permanent position after rotational program
  • 2 months of your time in the program will be spent on the front lines gaining a 360° view of the customer experience
Role Profiles
Customer Experience Strategy, Design and Delivery 
End-to-end involvement in problem definition and analysis, as well as solution design, execution, and monitoring.

Operations and Business Strategy
Manage short term and day-to-day workforce operations within call centres across Bell’s Customer Experience Team.

Digital Advocacy (Web and App)
Work on full-cycle product management of one or more AI/ML product lines.

Communications and Brand Development
Develop customer communications and campaigns.

Marketing Campaigns and Pricing Strategy
Develop and lead end-to-end execution of mass and targeted marketing campaigns. Determine appropriate pricing and value of services and products by analyzing market trends.

Channel Sales Strategy
Navigate new business opportunities at all business levels (strategic to operational) in an effort to drive sales results across Retail, Direct, and Online channels.

Product Management (Internet, TV, 5G and IoT)
Bring new ideas to life through end-to-end product management.

Business Intelligence Analyst, Operational Insight and Support
Apply the latest tools to analyze and interpret data to provide insight into customer behaviour and inform marketing contact strategies.

Application Developer
Contribute to the digital design of Bell’s award-winning mobile application.

AI & Data Engineering Graduate Leadership Program

Bell’s AI & Data Engineering team collaborates with partners across the organization and provides strategic guidance supported with data. We work with the latest and greatest BI technologies like SAS, Hadoop, and Python to leverage big data and artificial intelligence to create intellectual property.


This is a terrific opportunity for recent graduates or graduating students to help transform the organization in driving one of the most significant strategic mandates within Bell. Over the course of 12 months, the AI & Data Engineering Program allows you the opportunity to enhance your professional skills and expand your knowledge of AI & Data Engineering through training opportunities, while working on exciting projects at Bell.


You will spend the first 2 months on the front lines gaining a 360° view of the customer experience while working on a hands on project to apply your learnings towards improving the customer experience.


From there, you will be assigned a permanent role in one of the following areas based on your skills and interests: 

  • Data Analyst
  • AI Project/Product Manager
  • Data Engineer
  • Data Scientist
  • Machine Learning Engineer
What you can do

  • Leverage sophisticated analytical techniques including predictive modeling, text mining, forecasting, neural networks, segmentation and other data mining methods.

  • Explore large, new sources of data; communicate and present insight opportunities to business teams across the organization to influence decision making.
 
  • Translate business requirements into design, implementation and documentation of efficient AI & Data Engineering processes

  • Take part in defining and improving the overall architecture to create effective enterprise-level data solutions.
What we are looking for


  • You have a university degree completed before the program start date, and you completed your degree no earlier than three years before your application date.
  • Your degree is in Machine Learning/AI, engineering, mathematics/statistics, or computer science


Data Analyst:

  • Develop automated analytical solutions (BI reports and dashboards)
  • Draw insights and make recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences based on the understanding of business strategy and stakeholder
  • Collaborate with business, operations, data engineering, AI/ML and IT teams to conceive and implement tracking properties for new and existing programs
  • Leverage modern BI technology such as Teradata SQL, BigQuery, SAS, and MicroStrategy


AI Project/Product Manager:

  • Full lifecycle support of Data Engineering, Data Science and ML Eng projects or products
  • Leading use case discovery with business partners and coordinating into a concise roadmap and WBS to be executed on with business and technical teams
  • Leading agile meetings such as backlog refinements, sprint retrospectives, sprint reviews
  • Performing analysis on benefits and KPIs to gauge project/program opportunities and performance
  • Communicating and prioritizing with partner teams on ideation, task status, value add, feedback and providing technical updates to non-technical audiences


Data Engineer:

  • Design, development and maintenance of data pipelines (Batch and Real Time)
  • Get exposed to data modeling and architecture (Normalized and multidimensional)
  • Exposure to data warehouse technologies such as SQL Server, BigQuery, Teradata, SAS or others
  • Shifting to leverage Google Cloud tools
  • Would be helpful to have experience with one of the following programming languages: SQL, Spark, Java, Scala, Python, C+


Data Scientist:

  • Highly driven to learn about the newest machine learning techniques and to apply them to solve business problems
  • Building of ML Algorithms including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning modules
  • Opportunity to focus on applied NLP techniques
  • ML frameworks such as HuggingFace, Pytorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, H2O, etc. 


Machine Learning Engineer:

  • Design, development and maintenance of data pipelines
  • Development of ML applications, productionize both real-time and batch ML models
  • Leveraging Google tools such as Vertex AI platform and Dataflow
  • Exposure to development tools such as version control systems and IDEs
  • CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, TeamCity)
  • Exposure to container environments like Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShift/GKE
  • Would be helpful to have experience with programming languages such as SQL, Java, Python, C++
