Branch Manager
Westland Insurance Group Ltd. has an exciting opportunity for a Branch Manager in Kamloops, BC at our Hillside Drive office. The Opportunity:
This position provides leadership to team members within a branch. They are knowledgeable with technical insurance products (personal lines and auto) and have the management skills to support the team in achieving the goals of the company, our clients and employees.
In this role you’ll:
• Achieve targets within the sales and marketing plans
• Conduct monthly sales/production meetings and performance meetings
with team members
• Provide guidance and support to sales agents to ensure they attain
expected targets
• Develop and deliver a sales and marketing plan for their branch
• Prepare sales and expense budgets with an emphasis on growth and
profitability
• Handle client concerns effectively or accelerating to executive level as
required
• Handle branch administration including operational support for agency staff
• Hire, develop, coach and mentor agents and staff
• Demonstrate leadership abilities and effectively manage changing priorities
• Collaborate with other business unit managers to attain standards and
operational levels
Here’s what you bring:
• 5 years of industry experience
• Post-secondary degree or diploma is preferred
• Previous people management/leadership experience
• Insurance broker level 2 license is a must. CAIB and/or CIP are an asset
• Proven results in developing and leading a team
• A natural ability at building authentic customer relationships
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task
• Demonstrated business acumen
