Position Summary

Under general supervision of the MRI supervisor, the technologist performs all technical duties necessary to perform MRI procedures.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved Medical Radiography program and eligibility for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (C.A.M.R.T.).
  • Successful completion of post registration education including MRI, cross sectional anatomy.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a general duty medical technologist including MRI, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
