About the Opportunity 

Reporting into the Manager of Brand & Sponsorships, this role is responsible for supporting the Brand activation plan for the AIR MILES Reward Program in Canada, representing over 10 million Collectors.

The Specialist, Brand Activation and Sponsorships is responsible for supporting in the development and implementation (National and Regional) of experiential and sponsorship marketing strategies that maximize the AIR MILES Reward Program’s presence in the daily lives of Collectors. The role will be accountable for driving awareness and engagement of brand assets delivered through signature sponsorships in the sports and music space, as well as relevant regional sponsorships to ensure they enhance and differentiate the AIR MILES value preposition for our Collectors and partners.  In addition to activating a robust sponsorship portfolio, this role will also be accountable for delivering effective and measurable national experiential marketing programs that deliver against the AIR MILES Reward Program brand promise and excite our Collectors and Partners.

Responsibilities

  •  Supports the development and execution of experiential marketing and sponsorship brand assets through a robust marketing calendar including on-site activation, AIR MILES marketing channels and ensuring all external partnership assets are leveraged to their full potential from creative briefing to execution to post campaign measurement
  • Work alongside the brand activation team to ensure the smooth running of day to day duties including: developing event flows, shipping and keeping inventory of event supplies, managing post-event recaps and photo/video libraries and other administrative and logistical tasks (invoicing, billing, booking travel, contract execution, etc.)
  • Work collaboratively with various business partners across the organization to leverage brand assets to support various key priorities including segment and sponsors strategies

 Qualifications

  •  Bachelor Degree. Preferred programs: Business, Marketing, Events/Sports Management  
  • Minimum 3 years marketing experience, preferably in a brand, experiential and/or sponsorship marketing role, preference for individuals possessing  agency experience;
  • Experience in a fast-paced culture developing and executing marketing strategies and plans with many moving pieces;
  • Some experience in sports marketing and events;
  • Strong experience in marketing in a competitive environment;
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience in delivering recommendations from analysis;
  • Strong communication and public speaking and presentation abilities, Bilingual English/French an asset but not required
  • Solid exposure working with graphic designers, event planners, advertising/experiential agencies as well as sponsorship properties.
  • Experience navigating a highly complex matrix organization with a variety of stakeholder interests;
  • Strong project management and time management skills are essential
